Cookie Policy

What a cookie is on this site

A cookie is a small text file a site asks your browser to store. Aged Avenue uses a short list of them, and the point of this page is to say exactly what each group does rather than to describe cookies in general terms.

Strictly necessary cookies

  • An age-gate cookie that remembers you confirmed you are 21 or older, so the gate does not reappear on every page.
  • A session cookie that keeps the shopping cart and the checkout tied to your browser.
  • A security cookie used to validate forms and protect against cross-site request forgery.

These cookies cannot be switched off from inside the site, because the store does not work without them. They are not used to build a profile of your browsing.

Preference cookies

If you choose a currency, a region or a language, a preference cookie stores that choice for your next visit. It contains a setting rather than personal information, and clearing it simply means choosing again.

Analytics cookies

Where analytics is enabled, it records which pages are viewed, how visitors arrive and roughly where they are, in aggregate. Analytics is used to work out which guides and which bottles are useful. It stays off until consent is given, and it is never used to sell advertising.

Advertising cookies

This store does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies by default. If that ever changes, this cookie policy will be updated and the banner will ask for consent before any such cookie is written.

Managing cookies

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, and you can read most of the site without them. Blocking the strictly necessary set will break the age gate, the cart and the checkout. Any third-party cookies present through an embedded payment or map feature are controlled by those providers.

Consent and changes

Continuing to browse after the banner accepts the essential cookie set; the optional groups wait for a clear yes. The operator must confirm which analytics or marketing tools are actually active before this store accepts live orders, so that this page matches what the site really loads.

Contact

For anything covered by this cookie policy, the support desk is reachable at [email protected] and on . These are operator placeholders, and the operator must supply live contact details before this store accepts live orders.
