Description
Created by Château Lafite Rothschild in Argentina, Aruma – meaning “night” in the language of the indigenous Quechua people – is a pitch-black and glorious 100% Malbec. Deep, rich and wonderfully developed, this unoaked red is leathery and super smooth with notes of cherries, raspberries, blackberries, black plum, spice, boiled sweets, chocolate and a pinch of mint leaves. You’ve just found your new favourite weeknight winter wine. Bodegas Caro is a collaboration between the iconic Bordeaux First Growth producer Château Lafite Rothschild and Bodega Catena Zapata. Wine Advocate described the latter as “the most important winery in Argentina” and noted that “the name Catena on the label is a guarantee of quality”. Combine that name with that of the Rothschild family and know that this is an Argentinian wine with pedigree like no other.
