Description
Deeply layered and complex, this rich and vibrant whisky unfolds with a poised confidence that invites slow exploration. On the nose, it presents a warming bouquet of baked orchard fruits, toffee apples, and a soft drizzle of caramel, all carried by a backdrop of vanilla and roasted cereals. There is an inviting oakiness that hints at age and influence from barrels, mingling with a faint whiff of nutmeg and toasted almond that adds subtle depth without overpowering the sweeter notes. On the palate, the character becomes even more intricate. Malted caramel forms a core that is simultaneously creamy and slightly chewy, weaving with toffee, honeyed vanilla, and ripe raisin accents. Layers of dried fruit and a gentle citrus zest provide brightness, while a whisper of cinnamon and spice gives lift without bitterness. The balance between sweetness, malt, and oak feels harmonized, delivering a robust yet refined mouthfeel that is full-bodied and velvety, with a soft, lingering warmth that coats the tongue. The finish is long, seductively sweet, and pleasantly spicy, gradually fading into a finale of spice-dusted chocolate and a finalMineral note that keeps things intriguing. Overall, this whisky exudes maturity and character, inviting contemplation and slow savoring. It pairs gracefully with dark chocolate, rich desserts, or a slice of orange-topped cheesecake, and it shines best when enjoyed neat or with just a splash of water to open its layered flavors.
