Description
Nose: A robust, intensely caramel aroma sits at the core, supported by rich vanilla and roasted coffee notes that give depth and warmth. Subtle hints of spiced dark fruit—plums, raisins, and dried fig—linger alongside mature oak, lending structure and a touch of maturity. There’s an inviting sweetness without being cloying, and a velvety undercurrent of oak that suggests age and restraint. On the first waft the caramel emerges with a glossy, syrupy sheen, while vanilla adds creaminess and a soft, custard-like nuance. The roasted coffee notes bring a bittersweet edge that invites further exploration, and a whisper of cocoa and tobacco adds complexity without overpowering the overall impression.Taste: Mouth-filling and generous, with sweetness present but balanced by depth and restraint. It unfolds with deep fruitiness—ripe plum and black cherry mingling with dried fig—then layers of spice—cinnamon, clove, and a touch of white pepper—over a core of dark caramel and vanilla. The texture is silky, coating the palate, and the flavors evolve from lush sweetness toward a more structured mid- to back-palate profile, where oak becomes more pronounced. A hint of cocoa or dark chocolate adds complexity, while the roasted coffee presence from the nose carries through, tying the sweetness to a coffee-kissed finish. A subtle note of leather or tobacco adds further dimension without dominating.Finish: Big and bold, with long persistence. The oak and spice linger, while the caramel sweetness fades slowly, leaving a warm, comforting echo on the tongue and a residual note of dark fruit and toasted grain. A gentle, dry spice coats the palate as the warmth travels downward, inviting another thoughtful sip.
