The nose is relatively fruity and quite powerful. It reveals notes of boysenberry and cassis associated with slight notes of plum, raspberry jam, touches of spices as well as a discreet hint of flowers and a very discreet hint of tea. The palate is fruity,fine,well-balanced, quite elegant an offers a small fleshy, a slight acid frame as well as a slight smooth. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of plum, blackberry and slight notes of ripe redcurrant/cherry associated with a hint ofzan, tobacco, toasted oak and a discreet hint of vanilla. Tannins are fine andwell-built. Good length. There isgourmandizeon the finish and the aftertaste.Brilliant magenta. Highly perfumed, mineral-accented scents of red fruit liqueur, candied flowers and five-spice powder. Sappy, deeply concentrated yet energetic raspberry and rose pastille flavors show impressive clarity and develop a hint of Asian spices in the glass. At once powerful and lithe, finishing impressively long and displaying excellent delineation and silky, harmonious tannins.
