Description
South Australia’s Limestone Coast is known as the “Shipwreck Coast” due to its fearful shoreline. If you can manage to make landfall, the reward is an area rich in soils that produce phenomenal, site-specific wines. This Merlot is made from perfectly-ripened grapes that see extended hang time in the vineyard for ripe flavor and tannin. Gentle extraction in the winery ensures generous fruit and an easy-drinking style, while a touch of new oak gives structure. Jammy and tart, this is a well-rounded red that will pair beautifully with spiced and savory foods.
