Description
Thomas H. Handy Sazerac Rye Whiskey is a powerhouse straight rye bottled uncut and unfiltered, showcasing the raw, untamed character of America’s original whiskey style. Part of the esteemed Buffalo Trace Antique Collection, each annual release is a high-proof snapshot of young rye at its most expressive—spicy, vibrant, and intensely flavorful.Named after the 19th-century New Orleans bartender who helped popularize the Sazerac cocktail, this whiskey features a bold rye-forward mash bill and is aged for around six years in new charred oak barrels. The result is a full-bodied dram with explosive notes of cinnamon, clove, rich caramel, and citrus zest. Despite its strength, it retains remarkable balance and complexity, making it a favorite among collectors and connoisseurs alike.Thomas H. Handy isn’t just a rye—it’s a statement piece for any serious whiskey collection.
