From The WinemakerThis 2021 vintage of Clos du Val Yettalil presents a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Merlot, and Petit Verdot, sourced from the renowned Stags Leap District and Napa Valley regions. The 17-month aging period took place in 40% new French oak barrels from esteemed coopers such as Taransaud, Seguin Moreau, Demptos, and Quintessence. With a pH of 6.2 and 5.7 g/L of acid, this wine offers a balanced and complex profile, perfect for pairing with a variety of dishes. Harvested between September 10th and October 11th of 2021, this vintage was bottled on June 7-8th, 2021.Tasting NotesThe fullest expression of our Hirondelle Estate vineyard in the renowned Stags Leap District, this wine opens with fresh aromas of black cherry, cassis, fresh thyme, and spice.
